District Employment Exchange
Department Profile
The District Employment Exchange is the nodal department in the district for all matters dealt with by the Department of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of Assam. This department is entrusted with a very critical role of enhancing the skills and subsequent employability of people falling within the working age group as well as supporting entrepreneurial ventures to promote self-employment. It is a conduit for all schemes introduced by the parent department in the state as well as the center and works in close association with the district administration and the NC Hills Autonomous Council for the fulfillment of the goals of the concerned schemes. The department is headed by the District Employment Exchange Officer and he/she is aided by dealing assistants and Gr-IV staff.
